01The role

Own the top of the funnel.

Intelbyte is a Calgary consultancy that helps organizations work smarter through modern software, automation, analytics, and applied AI. We are a small senior team, which means the person in this role works shoulder to shoulder with the people who deliver what they sell.

We are looking for a Sales Executive to drive the top of our sales funnel and help our senior sellers close more, faster. This is a high-energy, high-ownership role built for someone early in their career who wants broad exposure to how B2B technology services are sold, and who is ready to run with real responsibility.

You do not need to arrive knowing our stack. What matters is that you are sharp, adaptable, comfortable in digital tools, and hungry to win. Bring the drive and the aptitude; we will help you build the domain knowledge.

02What you'll do

Five fronts, one goal: pipeline.

A

Digital presence and lead generation

  • Own and grow our digital footprint across key channels, keeping it active, professional, and on-brand
  • Plan and execute B2B marketing that fills the funnel: LinkedIn outreach, targeted email sequences, landing-page optimization, and sales collateral
  • Run multi-channel campaigns with UTMs, dashboards, and CRM analytics, then report on what is working and what to do next
  • Build sales enablement assets: case studies, one-pagers, win stories, and capability decks

Prospecting and account mining

  • Generate and qualify a healthy pipeline of new business through consistent outbound outreach
  • Mine existing accounts for upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities
  • Run initial discovery conversations to uncover client needs and readiness
  • Book qualified meetings for senior sales team members, with every touch tracked in CRM for clean follow-up and reliable forecasting

Events and market presence

  • Represent Intelbyte at conferences, networking events, industry meetups, and business associations
  • Generate new contacts, build relationships, and bring market intelligence back to the team

Bids and proposals

  • Source and qualify RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs that fit our services and have strong win potential
  • Own the bid tracker: deadlines, requirements, stakeholder contacts, and submission milestones, so nothing slips
  • Coordinate internal contributors and polish submissions to a professional standard
  • Build a reusable content library that makes every future bid faster and stronger

Deal support

  • Support senior sales colleagues through the closing process with briefs, meeting notes, follow-up materials, and clear action items
  • Keep proposals, documentation, and follow-ups organized to accelerate deal velocity
03Who fits

Drive first, domain later.

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, energized by the challenge of winning new business
  • Strong communicator, written and verbal, with the confidence to start conversations and build rapport quickly
  • Comfortable with cold outreach and the persistence it takes to land the first meeting
  • Highly organized and dependable, able to juggle multiple deals, deadlines, and campaigns at once
  • Quick to learn new tools: CRM platforms, bid portals, Microsoft 365, marketing and sales automation
  • Curious and resourceful, with strong research instincts
  • Professional, trustworthy, and discreet with client and commercial information

Nice to have, not required

  • Interest in technology sales and the Microsoft ecosystem: Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Dynamics, Azure
  • Experience with B2B LinkedIn marketing, cold outreach sequences, or email automation tools
  • Exposure to bid platforms such as MERX, SAP Ariba, Bonfire, Vendor Registry, or BidNet
  • Comfort with Excel or Sheets for pipeline tracking and campaign reporting
  • Experience building presentations or one-pagers in PowerPoint or Canva
  • A previous internship or role in sales, business development, or customer-facing work

  • Pipeline contribution: the volume and quality of new opportunities created
  • Bid opportunities sourced, weighted by fit and win probability
  • On-time, high-quality bid submissions
  • Growth of our digital presence and lead-generation campaign results
  • Faster deal velocity and a better-organized pipeline for the whole team

Pay and logistics

  • CAD $45,000 to $50,000 base, plus commission of 5 to 10% of initial deal size on deals you originate, with no cap on what you bring in
  • Calgary, Alberta: hybrid, four days on site and one day remote
  • Monday to Friday, with event attendance and occasional regional travel
